Booking Procedure

Once you have sent the completed Booking Form we will confirm the booking and reserve the accommodation for you. We will hold your reservation for five days until we receive your deposit/payment.

Deposits

50% is payable upon booking, and the balance must be paid 6 weeks before the rental is due to start.

Breakages/Cleaning Deposit

A refundable £100 deposit is paid with the last payment, which will be returned to you, subject to their being no significant breakages or cleaning requirements outside of normal wear and tear.

Holiday Cancellation and Curtailment Refunds

We will refund payments made in respect of a cancellation (less a charge of £15.00 per week or part week) caused by any of the following circumstances involving the person who made the booking or any person named on the booking form:-

1.       Death, accidental bodily injury or illness

2.       Jury service

3.       Witness call

4.       Unemployment caused by redundancy after the date the booking was made.

5.       Pregnancy occurring after the date the booking was made.

6.       Occupational posting by the same employer and not known of at the date the booking was made.

7.       A main residence or business premiums insurance claim due to fire, storm, flood, malicious damage or theft occurring seven days or less prior to the holiday start date.

We will also refund payments on the same basis as above in respect of a cancellation due to the death, accidental bodily injury or illness of a close relative or business associate of the person who made the booking or any person named on the booking form.

In the event of a holiday booking being curtailed (and the property vacated) due to any of the circumstances detailed above, we will refund payments made on a pro-rata basis (less a charge of £15.00 per week or part week).

For all cancellations due to any of the circumstances detailed above, Wales Holidays must be notified immediately of any occurrence that may result in a claim for a refund. All claims must be submitted on a refund claim form from Wales Holidays and supporting documentary evidence must be provided by the claimant and at their expense.

 

We will not be liable for any claim for a refund in respect of cancellations in the following circumstances:-

1.       Disinclination to travel

2.       Failure of public or private transport systems

3.       Suicide, attempted suicide, insanity, the influence of alcohol or the effect of drugs not taken in accordance with treatment prescribed by a qualified medical practitioner.

4.       The booking of a holiday that is, or would be, against the advice of a qualified medical practitioner.

5.       The imposing of quarantines or restrictions on travel by Government or Public Authority.

6.       The occurrence of an epidemic or pandemic caused via a strain of Avian Influenza or any other similar circumstances.

7.       Where the loss is covered by any insurance held by a claimant.

8.       Any claim directly or indirectly arising out of any nuclear, chemical or biological contamination or any act of terrorism.

Please refer to our booking conditions item 4 (b) and 4 (c) regarding cancellations not liable for a refund. We will always use our best endeavours to re-let a cancelled booking; please inform us immediately should you wish to cancel your booking.
